A representative office (Rep. Office) represents the interests of the foreign investor by acting as a liaison office for the parent company. Rep. Office may conduct market research, develop partnerships and business channels; however, all business transactions, including issuance of invoices, are managed by the parent company.

    Procedural steps in detail:

    1. Submit relevant documents for establishment of representative office;

    2. Representative office certificate;

    3. Creation of the chops of representative office;

    4. Registration of the organizational code;

    5. Tax Certification;

    6. Statistical Certification;

    7. Foreign Exchange IC card;

    8. Financial Registration for a representative office;

    9. Opening of the bank account.

    Necessary documents which shall be submitted to registration authorities (Administration for Industry and Commerce=AIC) are as follows,

    1)      Application form for establishing a representative office;

    2)      Power of attorney of chief representative and representatives (signed by chairman of the foreign enterprise);

    4)      Credit certifications of investor issued by finance institution which has business relations with the investor;

    6)      The passport or ID card (copy) of the chief representative and representatives;

    7)      Certificates of permission to use registered land or lease agreements, and title deeds of landlord;

    8)      Registration form of contact person of the representative office;

    9)      Engagement letter for agent.
